Full military ceremony for the homecoming and burial of my brother-in-law’s uncle, John Harvey Holman. Holman was captured by enemy forces in February of 1951 in Korea. His remains were just recently positively identified via DNA. Photos in this album somewhat document the events leading up to and after the ceremony.

Thank you Clare. It was an awe inspiring event as I have never seen one before (except maybe on TV). Big credit goes out to the MN Patriot Guard too (http://www.mnpatriotguard.org/) as these guys and gals got there an hour ahead of time, stood silent through the entire event and didn’t budge until after the family left over an hour later.

Thanks so much for being there Jim. I never even thought about having pictures of the event; now we will have them for future generations of Holmans and those that could not personally attend on Saturday. Thanks you again!

Thanks for letting me Katie. When Tamara told me all about this I knew it is was something that needed to be done – but translating that so everyone could understand was difficult. I am glad Tamara could come to the rescue in that regard.

Hope I wasn’t too intrusive as my ninja skills were a little lacking in that bright sunlight!
